Houston checks a lot of boxes when it comes to assisted living needs and desires. Residents enjoy sunny weather and plenty of amenities.

The area is home to one of the nation’s most concentrated networks of medical and research institutions. And contrary to what you might expect for a city of its size, but the cost of assisted living in Houston is actually slightly lower than the national average.

As the fourth-most populated city in the U.S., residents have their choice among dozens and dozens of assisted living homes. Our goal in this Houston assisted living review is to extract the top 10 based on metrics like location, cost, amenities, dining, safety and access to care.

While there are many quality assisted living facilities from which to choose, we did our best to highlight some of the best below in our list of the top 10 assisted living communities in Houston (in no particular order).
